What Is Neuroplasticity?Neuroplasticity, also known as brain plasticity or neural plasticity, is the brain's ability to reorganize itself, both functionally and physically through the process of forming new neural connections throughout life. Without this ability, the brain would not be able to develop from infancy to adulthood. Neuroplasticity allows the neurons (the brain's nerve cells) to compensate for disease and injury and to adjust their activities in response to new experiences, environment changes, behavior, thinking and emotions.
